Kenneth J. Marrin, author of "Lunch is Over" A Depression-era youth comes of age on a mountaintop in Korea, Click to Book served in the United States Air Force during the "Forgotten War" in Korea.  He spent three years and three months in the service; his last year on a filthy, rat-infested Korean mountaintop lacking basic refrigeration and sanitation facilities. Following his discharge in December of 1953, he spent the next three years battling tuberculosis, a nearly fatal condition that left him a disabled veteran. He worked relentlessly as his own advocate, fighting for decades in order to receive the service-connected disability compensation that he rightfully deserved. In doing so, he navigated the VA claims system and became an expert in his field. He vowed that he would be there to assist other veterans who could not find the support they needed .CONFIRM ACCREDITATION
